Welcome Table Arrangement Calculator
The welcome table is the first floral impression guests see, and it's almost always photographed for the wedding album. This calculator sizes it correctly — bigger than a reception centerpiece but smaller than a sweetheart installation.

How to price: markup multiplier guide
The wedding florist industry standard is a 2.5x–3.5x markup on wholesale stem cost. This covers your labor, design time, vessels, overhead, and profit margin. Anything lower means you're effectively running the business at a loss once labor is counted.
2.5x (Budget)
For volume work and low-design lines. Tight margin; only use when client volume justifies it.
3.0x (Standard)
The default healthy-margin wedding florist markup. Covers labor, overhead, and fair profit.
3.5x (Luxury)
For custom design, high-touch brands, and luxury clients. Reflects full-value design work.
Recipe variations by style
How the base recipe adapts for different wedding aesthetics.
Compote-Style Garden
Build in a footed compote bowl. Let stems drape 8+ inches over the vessel edge for a garden-gathered feel.
Tall Statement Piece
Add 6 stems of delphinium or foxglove for a 30-inch tall silhouette. Doubles as a visual 'welcome' anchor.
Bud Vase Cluster
Split across 5–7 bud vases for a modern look. Clients can rehome them after the wedding.
Seasonal / Foraged
Replace 30% of stems with branch materials — flowering dogwood, quince, or fall branches depending on season.

Sweetheart Table Florals
Sweetheart tables sit dead center in every reception photo, which means clients expect them to look bigger than a normal centerpiece — but most florists quote them like one.

Cocktail hour flowers are easy to under-scope because clients treat them as 'extras' — but you're still building, transporting, and installing 6–12 pieces.
