Reception Table Flower Calculator — Per-Table Cost
Reception tables are the biggest line item in most wedding proposals, and the one where quoting math goes sideways. This calculator handles the per-table cost and then multiplies it across the guest count so you can show the client a clean total.

How to price: markup multiplier guide
The wedding florist industry standard is a 2.5x–3.5x markup on wholesale stem cost. This covers your labor, design time, vessels, overhead, and profit margin. Anything lower means you're effectively running the business at a loss once labor is counted.
2.5x (Budget)
For volume work and low-design lines. Tight margin; only use when client volume justifies it.
3.0x (Standard)
The default healthy-margin wedding florist markup. Covers labor, overhead, and fair profit.
3.5x (Luxury)
For custom design, high-touch brands, and luxury clients. Reflects full-value design work.
Recipe variations by style
How the base recipe adapts for different wedding aesthetics.
Alternating Tall + Low
Half the tables get the base recipe, other half get a tall version with +6 stems of delphinium on an elevated stand.
Bud Vase Cluster
Split each table's recipe across 3–5 small bud vases instead of one centerpiece. Same flower cost, completely different feel.
Lush Garden Upgrade
Add 2 garden roses and 1 peony per table. Adds ~$14 wholesale per table, lets you upsell the centerpiece tier.
Candlelit Minimal
Reduce florals by 40%, add 5 taper candles per table. Shifts the visual weight to candlelight and keeps flower cost down.

The low-lush centerpiece is the workhorse of most wedding receptions — and the place where small pricing mistakes add up fast across 15 or 20 tables.

Sweetheart tables sit dead center in every reception photo, which means clients expect them to look bigger than a normal centerpiece — but most florists quote them like one.

Bud vase clusters look minimalist but are deceptively labor-heavy — each vase is its own tiny arrangement.
