Step by step
- 1
Confirm church pew policies
Contact the church office in advance to confirm they allow pew clips. Some churches require specific hardware or forbid them entirely.
- 2
Pre-build pew markers at studio
Assemble each pew marker in the studio using small foam cages. Each should have 3 spray roses, 2 lisianthus, filler, and greenery.
- 3
Transport with foam saturated
Saturate foam cages with water before transport. Wrap each assembled marker loosely in plastic to maintain moisture.
- 4
Attach pew clips to pews
Install pew clips by snapping them over the edge of each pew. Space them every other row for a pleasing rhythm.
- 5
Attach floral markers to clips
Slot each floral marker into the pew clip. Add a ribbon tail for finishing — ribbon should be 18–24 inches long.
- 6
Final walk-through and trim
Walk down the aisle to confirm visual consistency. Trim any ribbons that are different lengths. Mist all markers.

Pro tips
Pew clips are reusable — always retrieve them after the ceremony.
Plan for every other pew, not every pew — too many markers feels crowded.
Match the ribbon color to the wedding palette exactly — this is a visible detail.
Common mistakes to avoid
Not confirming pew clip approval with the church — some churches prohibit them.
Using clips that scratch wooden pews — always use rubber-padded versions.
Installing markers on every pew — looks cluttered, do every other row.
