Step by step

Assemble the frame and mount foam
Set up the metal frame. Attach floral foam sheets to the entire surface using zip ties or a staple gun. The foam holds every stem in place.

Create a planning grid
Visually divide the wall into 4x4 sections using a grid of focal points. Plan where hydrangeas will sit first — they're the biggest and set the overall structure.

Place hydrangeas first
Cut hydrangea stems to 2 inches and push directly into the foam. Distribute evenly across the wall, creating a base layer of large bloom heads. Mist frequently.

Fill gaps with spray roses and carnations
Working section by section, fill the gaps between hydrangeas with spray roses and carnations. Pack tightly — no visible foam should remain.

Layer in greenery
Add silver dollar eucalyptus and italian ruscus throughout for color variation and to break up the density. Let some greenery extend slightly beyond the frame edges.

Final density check and transport
Walk around the wall checking for any visible foam. Add carnations to any gaps. If transporting, wrap in plastic and move with 2+ people.
